This is a beginner level Bacon desert. Simple, effective, tasty Bacon goodness. It is a great Bacon starting point to begin your journey into a full-blown Bacon Desert Master. Once you are able to make this Bacon treat blindfolded with both hands behind your back, you are worthy of making bigger and more complex Bacon treats. (Note: Cooking blind folded with your hands tied is dangerous, we don;t recommend doing so) (Also Note: Bacon is delicious, but you already knew that)
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup brown sugar (you add more if you want to)
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard (optional)
- 1/4 pound sliced Bacon ( Bacon aka proof god exists)
Directions
1.) Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. This is the optimal Candy Bacon Temperature.
2.) In a large plastic zip-top bag, combine brown sugar and mustard(mustard is still optional, Bacon is always mandatory, just not in this step).
3.)Add Bacon and toss to coat. Note: If you get tired from tossing the Bacon, take a quick break, fry up some Bacon on the skillet, and refuel your Bacon cooking stamina with some freshly made Bacon
4.) Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil or parchment paper (or Bacon, but I mean it could get stuck to the baking sheet, and we don't want to loose any Bacon).
5.)Place a cooling rack on the lined baking sheet. (Don't get lazy, do it, this is Bacon we are dealing with. Treat Bacon with respect, and it will treat you by being Bacon)
6.) Put Bacon on rack and roast in oven for 20 minutes. Let drain for a few minutes on the rack and serve.
7.) Clean up your kitchen so you can easily navigate when making your next Bacon dessert. If you are not in a kitchen, but manged to make this Bacon treat anyway, give yourself a pat on the back, that is impressive.
